Where It All Began

University Days

We first met at university, but the idea for Hitchr didn't arrive until ten years later – in a pub, catching up over a pint.

The Pub Moment

What started as a simple idea sparked something bigger. We shared it with entrepreneur Simon Squibb, and suddenly found ourselves surrounded by a community of supporters, willing us to make it real.

The Lightbulb Moment

That was our lightbulb moment. We knew we had something worth building – so we set off to speak with other hitchhikers, to learn what they loved, what they feared, and what they needed. Their stories shaped the foundations of what Hitchr is today.

Why Hitchhiking?

Because the world is full of empty car seats, and people are better than we've been led to believe.

Hitchhiking is one of the most efficient, low-impact ways to get around. Every shared ride reduces emissions and makes the world a little greener.
